The Editorial Intelligence Comment Awards celebrate the achievements of the UK’s finest and most influential print and online commentators and their editors.

2016 is The Comment Awards' eighth year. New categories for 2016 include Contrarian of the Year and the return of Sports Commentator of the Year. This years eiDigest award will be dedicated to Women's Voices. These awards bring recognition to fresh areas of comment, joining annual established favourites such as Columnist of the Year, Best Comment Pages and Commentariat of the Year.

Nominations open 3rd May

The judges, chaired by Sir Anthony Seldon, Vice Chancellor, The University of Buckingham range across eclectic fields including business, culture, politics, media and academia including; Professor Jean Seaton of the University of Westminster; Professor Suzanne Franks of City University; William Sieghart CBE, Chairman of Somerset House; Ellen Miller of LBS; Samantha Asumadu, Founder of Media Diversified; Anne Morrison, Chairman of BAFTA; Elizabeth Pears, UK Deputy News Editor at Buzzfeed and Professor Kurt Barling, Middlesex University. The full list can be found here.
